Rationale for the project:

The project seeks to enhance the quality of post-basic education in science and technology by improving the quality of instruction, disseminating and massifying best practices and incorporating elements of entrepreneurship and innovation.

The project will create a Centre of Excellence in Science, Technology Education, Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Specifically, the project will :

ü Enlarge access to science and technology education through the platform of ICT-driven distance learning;

ü Facilitate access to global resources through linkages;

ü Strengthen staff capacity;

ü d Develop the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship in science and technology;

ü Modern teaching and learning systems and processes;

ü Promote gender equity in science and technology education.

Project Components

These objectives will be achieved through:

Ø an Ibadan Science and Technology Education (I-STEP) capacity building activities for quality enhancement in post-basic science and technology education;

Ø Reinforcement of ICT facilities for enhancing access to science and technology education;
